Cosmetic Dentist Training

The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry was founded in 1984 and is the world’s largest organization dedicated to serving cosmetic dental professionals and the general public. The AACD now includes more than 6,000 dental professionals, laboratory technicians, educators, and researchers from 80 countries around the world.

The group of Accredited Dentists is an exclusive group. Becoming an AACD Accredited Professional is a rigorous process that requires dedication as well as clinical and artistic skill.  There are fewer than 350 AACD Accredited members in the world. Not all AACD members receive accreditation. In fact, only 4 percent of AACD members have been granted this honor.

Dr. Tracey Nguyen is the only accredited member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry on Lansdowne, Va and one of five accredited dentist in the state of Virginia.
Candidates must complete comprehensive written and oral exams, as well as clinical case presentations. A board of examiners judges the exams and case studies. Only those who have met the board’s exacting criteria for technical and artistic excellence are granted AACD member accreditation.

Dr. Nguyen has undergone extensive postgraduate training from many renowned cosmetic, implant, and general dentistry programs throughout the country
